Has anoyone heard if Three Rivers has replaced their older steel adapters that were having malfunction problems?  I heard Kustom King is selling the better version...please advise.

only the 75gr ones were dodgy from what i heard. all the others were fine.

I think it was a particular style of adapter, though...kinda long and narrowish.  

I'm using a real short and stubby 75gr adapter that I've been ordering from The Nocking Point.  I've tried like hell to break them but never was successful.

I got some 75 grain adapters from 3Rivers a couple of weeks back and split a couple in half to inspect the wall thickenss.  More steel in the bottom than the ones that were breaking.  I'd take a pic but can't find the camera right now.  When I find it I'll take a pic. dino

Since it was the manufacturer that made them who supplies the archery industry and not just 3Rivers, I am not entirely sure were they all went.  I would test them from any source. dino

The last time I talked to 3 rivers I asked them about their 75 grain adapters. According to the guy I talked to, he was not aware of any problems with 75 grain adapters. I ordered mine from the Nocking Point. m2c

Ours look just like the 3Rivers, but I've not been able to break one when I tried.  Even though we've sold bucket loads of them we've not had a single report of a failure.  I think there must have been a defective lot that got out.

Good point above, there is some merit to having a longer adapter on a really hard hit.

I bent 2 125 grain steel adapters from 3R on little TX deer last season. I bought the KK version and it is obvious they are of better quality steel. Cheaper too.
