what kind of glue did fread bear use

Falk

... to mount his toe nail clippings to a board?!

OR - what was it?   :knothead:

john fletch

In those days the popular glues were Everfast and 24SRTX.  Fletch Tite was not out yet.  Now DUCO is a great glue for wood arrows - you don't need Fletch Tite Platinum for wood arrows.

And if you shoot traditional bows you don't need anything but wood arrows !!!

'Need' is such an ugly word.

tomyhawk

If we only purchased what we really need. How many great sponsers would still be in business?

Killdeer

Back in the seventies I used to buy Bear Archery Cement. Came in a metal tube, and thinking back on the smell, I think it was Duco.

And now you know what happened to me.
Killdeer   :rolleyes:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Who's fread bear?

Fred Bear probably used a Bohning product for his aluminum arrows, and Bohning more than likely made Fred's glue as well.  Hard to beat Bohning Fletchtite for aluminums.

And, Fletcher the arrow maker, Fred would argue the point with you, I'm sure, since he preferred the aluminum arrow.
