I am in the market for a strong durable case for a T/D recurve with 2 limb sets for my son. He travels between College and home. I have spent some time browsing the internet.  Sources, recommendations very welcome

I like the Safarii Tuff Rino case.  It's strong, well padded and light weight.  And it goes in your duffle for travel.

I too have a Safari Tuff Rino case.  its the best thing going.  I have carried my take down recurves all over the place and use to wrap them in my clothing and bubble wrap and worried myself to death during airline  flights.  Now i have the Rino case and i can relax.  I recently carried a highly cherished take down from Virginia to Iraq and never had any issues.  

They are made exceptionally well and are very well thought out.  I can put my wrench, glove and spare tab, string and spare string, spare points , etc.  in the velcro pocket with plenty of room to spare.  

They are so nice i am going to buy another soon.

I have one of those tube type hard cases, I bought it from three rivers.  Its also pictured in the Bob Lee advertisement for this web site.  I like it, but it's expensive.  You could save a bunch of money by making the same thing out of a PVC pipe.  Just get a long (about 36") piece of 8" diameter PVC.  Get one solid end cap and the other cap with a screw out top.  Some 10 min epoxy and you have a hard case.  You will want to make some limb and riser covers out of some old flannel sheets.

In my case I can easily store two complete take down bows or one bow, the quiver, extra strings, bowstinger, binos, and other accoutrements.

I used the pvc type as described above and put it right in my duffle bag to check. My bow was a TD longbow though so you would have to experiment for fit of the curves.

I use a Pelican hard case with the pluck n pull foam. It is air and watertight and you can pull the foam out to fit what you need.

I simply wrap mine in some clothes and stick it in the suitcase.  Works great.

Another vote for the Safari Tuff Rhino.  I have one of the tube cases as well, but prefer the Rhino.  Tucked in the middle of a soft duffel the bow stays well protected.
