It took me over 2 years to find these copperhead skins, and 2 years to finish the prototype titanium hinge in this bow.  I will be my long term hunting partner, only to be retired to my trophy room.  Oh ya I harvested a gnarley looking dead osage stump that I cut these veneers from.  The bow is named "I'm Not Worthy".

Lewis Brookshire III

The Bow in my Avatar. It was the last bow I made and my favorite. I will hand it to my son one day when he is old enough to draw the weight.

I have my brothers bear grizzly 45#.  He bought it new in 1967 from Bear Archery Center in Grand Rapids, Mi.  Then was drafted and went to Viet Nam in 1969 and was killed there in Feb. 1970.  He never had the chance to kill a deer with the bow.  I have taken 1 with it, but don't shoot it anymore, because I don't want anything to happen to it.  I believe the only way I will part with this bow is if my grandson someday shows an interest in it.  He was born Feb. 25th, 39 years, to the day after the original owner owner was killed.

I would say the one I am shooting today but it could be gone next month. To me they are all just sticks and strings and I have loved them all at one time or another! Lol! The one I own and would probably keep is a BBIpe longbow made for me by my friend Bob Barnes. She is 66" 46#@28" and still a sweet shooter for sure! I had'nt shot her in quite some time so I got her out the other day. She still knows how to find that bulls eye!

There have been many I would never part with. Somehow that never works and they are gone, I miss many, but onward and upward.

My dads bear grizzly that Fred Bear signed for me! Also don't think I would part with my Ancient Spirits Kadiak.

I'm expecting my first custom(that I ordered), this week. Centaur Carbon Elite, I've shot alot of bows the last couple years,(looking for that one bow), but I always come back to Jim's bows,IMO, nothing compares to the Centaur's!

My harrison longbow that my daughter "got" me for my first fathers day

Well I guess I'd have to say my BigHorn 2000 Special Edition.  If it had been made just for me it wouldn't fit any better.  What can I say, I fell in love with that bow the first time I ever saw it.  :archer:
