I am really new to trad.  I am shooting a Bw PMA III 28" draw @ 51 lbs.  I draw just under 28".  I was wondering if the Gold Tip 55 75 that I am shooting are too much for my bow.  Would I be better off with the 35 55 performance wise.  I have the 55 75 tuned pretty close considering that my form is not just perfect yet. I am using 100 gr weights on back of inserts along with 125 gr tip.  Thanks ahead of time for your input, hope all is well, GOD BLESS!!!!!!!

What do you mean too much for your bow?  If they seem to be tuned I would shoot them and maybe buy 2 3555 and compare them I would suggest you buy the feild point test kit from 3 Rivers if you don't already have it.  Good luck and have fun experimenting.

5575 with 300gr up front fly fine out of my 53# bow. If they are fying and hitting straight you should be fine.

Thanks for all the replies. I did not know if they would be too heavy with no more lbs  that I was shooting. They fly pretty well, I don't know if they are tuned just right for I am still trying to have  consitent form. Still a learning about this trad.  Hope all is well, GOD BLESS!!!!

Stay at it, you have a great bow to be learning with.  If they seem a little stiff, just add some point weight.  Point weight will weaken the spine.  I personally like a shaft just a fuzz on the weak side.

I shoot 30.5" 55/75's off my 50#@28" (250gr up front) sarrels 3pc TD recurve and they tuned just right. They weighed in at just over 500gr (10g/#). I use 3 4" feathers.
