How many arrows do you guys and gals carry when hunting, bow quivers and or others(side quivers, back quivers,ect...) The reason for my asking is, I use a small bow quiver now,It holds 3 arrows, two, three blade heads and a judo,no room for three bh arrows!  i was thinking of buying a four arrow quiver from 3r,their(mini boa)so hopefully i could carry three bheads and a judo! I'm not to comfortable with just two bh as i have had the chance a couple times for more than one shot(longbow is really quiet) I know, if you make that first shot count then there's no need for more arrows, but s#@t happens!! lets hear what everybody carrys and why, should be fun!!! Jim    :campfire:  oh, this is for deer and turkeys, bears, elk ect>>> I use a back quiver for small game w/ at least a dozon arras!

BUCKY

3 2blade in my  eagles flight with the jumbo hood. You could fit 3 3blade in the jumbo hood.

Chris Surtees

I carry four when deer hunting...three with broadheads and a small game arrow.

When hunting tree rats or other small game I carry a back quiver with at least a dozen arrows.

Whip

For years I have carried 3 broadheads and a judo.  Like you say, stuff happens.  Occasionally a follup up shot is needed for whatever reason.

I've recently started carrying an Arrowmaster quiver, and really love the capacity it gives me.  I will now probably carry 4 broadheads and  two or three blunts or judos.  It could carry more if I wanted to!

I will only be carrying 4 this fall, since I will be using some old Bear quivers. In the past I carried 5, 4BH and 1 blunt or field tip.

I have a couple Selway bowquivers that hold 5-6 arrows. When using them I usualy carry only broadheads.

However.....I love hunting with my backquiver!!!!!

As much as I like the bowquivers,I always seem to come back to the backquiver. I'll start the season with a half dozen broadhead arrows, and a half dozen blunts. At the end of the season I may only have 4-5 arrows left in it LOL.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

I end up shooting a lot of grouse and have found that one judo isn't enough. I generally have a selway quiver with 4 BH and 2 judos. Probably more than I would ever use, but I like to know that lack of arrows will never be the reason for me not taking a shot. ( I also carry a couple extra judos in case I have to switch one out)

That being said, I try not to do too much stand hunting so my setup might be different if I were sitting in a stand all day. I like to put on the miles and spot and stalk - just a personal preference - but imagine that this will change as I get older and am less able to roam the mountains.
Is it September yet?!

robtattoo

4 arrows in an EFA, all with broadheads (usually a mix of whatever I grab out the box. 2, 3 or 4 bladers)

I carry 3 or 4 .38 special screw0in blunts in my pocket. Only takes a sec to switch one out.

I have carried anywhere between 3 and 2 dozen at a time. It all depends!

joe skipp

When using my backquiver, I carry 8 broadheads and 2 judos. Catquiver, I carry 8 broadheads. My Great Northern holds 5 broadheads.

No-sage

4 broadheads.

Anything I shoot at while deer hunting gets a braodhead.

I always keep a file in my pack so they are always kept sharp.

For me it depends on the hunt I will be doing. If I am going back in off road for several days I take a Thunderhorn bolt-on that holds 5 arrows. If I am just doing a day hunt just outside of town then a 3 arrow quiver will do just fine.

Bakes168

4 broadheads and 2 judos in my Thunderhorn "Boa" quiver. I really like that thing, easy to strap on and off of bow, holds six arrows snugly, and it's not as pricy as some of the other strap on quivers.
