Since several people here are doing giveaways to help each other out in hard times, in this spirit I thought I would pitch in. This is not a item, but a service give away. I have my own machine shop from when I used to be a full time gunsmith, made a few custom knives. I have seen some post by people needing to clean up, work over their Knives. So here is what I will do, the first 15 who need it, send me your favorite hunting or pocket knife, I will clean, sharpen, and buff to a new finish for free, just include return postage. The knives will be razor sharp. If you have nicks out of the blade, broken tip etc., I will take care of it. I ask that each participant limit them selves to 3 knives.Thought this might cheer some of us up with all the bad news we see on the media everyday. I have done this service locally for friends and customers for 25 years, used to charge them a few bucks, thousands of satisfied customers. Moderators, this is not a sales pitch, dont do this as a business. So, post away all. Moderators, some of you can pm me and be the guinea pig, see if you approve!

Sam, what a generous offer. I just got from my Mom my Dads old hunting lnife. I havent seen it since I used it when I was a lid to gut my first rabbit. Dad passed last fall, and I treasure the knife. I cannot wait to use it again this coming fall. AS far as the finish, its not a fancy knife, but what it really needs is the edge reworked and sharpened. I'd sure appreciate your efforts if you would like to do it.

I have one that needs some work.  I would like to do it if I am in time.  Do you do handles?  I have an old one I lost as a teen a found many many years later in the woods.  Long story, but it needs a lot of help.  Getting the blad fixed up would be a big help.  I want to give it to one of the kids in a few years.

Autumn Archer, Know how you feel, Extream 312, I have black walnut or cury maple handles for a fixed blade, stain to make the curl jump out, blood red for the rest of the maple, clear coat the walnut!If pitted to deep, will bead blast to get out the rust, matte finish and then sharpen, will you pm me with pics, description?
