Does anyone know if the carbon collars that 3Rivers has will fit Carbon Express Heritage shafts? Probably have to call them. But maybe someone knows if they are the same diameter.

Are you refering to the broadhead adapters? If you are, I use them for my mfx arrows. I don't think they make them for 516 diameter shafts, I might be mistaken.

This is the first I heard of them.  I can almost bet that there will be a slight diff. between the two shafts OD's.

Re-enforce your Traditional Only Carbon Arrows with these carbon collar aluminum footings. Installed behind the insert, these strengthen your carbon arrows to help protect from shattering when hitting a hard surface. Weigh approximately 5 grains each. Sizes 500, 400, and 340/300. No, not broadhead adaptors. They are a collar that foots the shaft and protects it from damage.

I just went out to the shop and tried some on CX shafts.  The 400 fits a Heritage 150 perfect.  The 340 is really tight on a 250 but does go on.

Hmmm...I just recently noticed these on 3Rivers site. Is there any reason a person couldn't put one of these on  each end of a shaft, thereby footing both point and nock ends? I'm thinking the nock might come out more easily, since it wouldn't fit all the way into the end of the shaft with one of these collars in place, but maybe not?

Do these need to be glued on or do they stay when you glue the insert?

When used as intended (on the front) they are held in place by the glued in insert. I wonder if you could epoxy them onto the nock end, though, to keep the nock in place (or whether that would even be necessary).

I just wipe a bit of epoxy around the base of the shaft immediately behind the insert.  Seems to work pretty well.

I footed some CX 150's and did the nock end as well. I thought it would make them almost bullet proof. I now foot the front only on my ST Axis and after some rocks and rebar still have not broken the nock end. I wonder if it is necessary if the point end is footed?
What do you all think?
