Hey guys -

I'm lookin at tanning my own hides and I want something that is easy to do.   :help:   A friend of mine strongly recommended Krowtann 2000. Anyone use that? Likes? Dislikes?

Thanks all!   :notworthy:

I use it on all of my mounts and really like it.

works great i am by no means an expert but have tanned a good deal of hides and i have found the most important step is fleshing the hide really well

I agree with you on that step.  :)  I can get the hides already salted and fleshed. I was just wanting to know where to go from there.   :help:

If you were under the age of 12 and wanted to get your hide tanned I'd suggest soaking the green hide in bacon grease and hanging it in a dark closet for 6 weeks.  In my Father's house that would have been the best way to get your hide tanned.     :D

An old hand me down recurve sparked the fire, Trad Gang fanned the flames.  There is no stopping now.  Burn baby burn!
