I've been thinking about point loading my arrows to get my weight up. Does anyone shoot carbon arrows with a total broadhead/field point weight of say...350? My current arrows are Beman 400's, cut to 29", 100 gr. brass inserts, I am using 145 gr. field and broadhead points. My shafts weigh roughly 545 to 550 grains, if I use a field point that weighs 250 grains the weight would come up to 650 grains. I am shooting  recurve bows in the 55 to 62 pound range. What is your opinion  on this subject?

Check Bucky's thread. Might be a few pages  back. 350 up front?

I shoot carbons with 400 up the top. You could easily get to 350.

do it! 100gr inserts and 125gr b/head with 125gr adapter = 350gr. g/tip 5575. 54#@28" recurve.

Don't know if it will help but I currently shoot #47, total arrow weight is 540 and that's with a 100 grain brass adapter and 250 grain head. They drop fast but with 350 grains up front it seems like they hit like harder than before. I keep most/all my shots under 25 yards, but there's a big drop between 20 & 25.
