I am interested in getting a pronghorn 3 piece. My question is if a set of 60 inch limbs would handle a 29.5-30 inch draw. What is your opinion on that and your experiences with Mr. Meland's bows? Thank you for your input.

Stringdancer

His bows are awesome, Smooth, and silent. I would go with a 62" with your draw length.

Definatly 62 incher.Superb bows.

B-DOG

i have a 29" draw and have a 64" 3 piece on order. i shot a 60" and definatly need longer for me to be comfortable

I draw 29 max with a low grip and I have several of the 3 piece takes at 62. none of them stack. I just got a new one I need to post pics of.

At least a 62".  Herb Meland makes an excellent bow and is a great person to deal with.
The work praises the man.

Get a 62 you will not be disappointed.

I guess I am the dissenting opinion here.  I draw 29 and after taliking with Herb frequently, I shoot a 60 inch takedown with no issues. They are great bows.

I highly recommend you talk to Herb.  No one knows the characteristics of their bows like the bowyer and Herb is not necessarily an advocate of longer is better.

Dave is right Herb does not really advocate the longer lengths. He told me a few months ago that if it gets over 62 that it is out of the range that he designed the bow to preform.
