I sure like Fred's glove with the compass on it. Does anyone make one like it these days?

Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

D Harris

Make your own, sew a compass into your glove.

joebuck

Thanks D, i'm pretty handy but I'm a little rusty on makin a cordavan open palm shooting glove. Walmart is out of cordavan here in Mississippi.  :)

Joe, I use a glove with a palm strap and an old '54 Kodiak compass in the back that's been in several gloves since the seventies. There is an Amish community near me that has a shoemaker and he makes mine for me now. He does excellent work, very reasonable. He's just a bit tough to catch in the shop and it's pretty remote.I'll send you a picture of mine and a pattern if you like.   Grant

Mark!!!!!! PM me your address.....Thanks Grant, it would save me alot of time if you just sell me yours !!!!!  :D    :D  ...i would love the pattern. Does yours have nylon stalls or straight cordovan?

Joe- My glove is made out of French Veal dress shoe leather and I use oiled heavy leather for the stalls with no re-inforcement. I've been shooting this one for a couple of years with heavy use and haven't had a problem with excessive grooving. I did have him build one with the overlays like the bigshot but didn't care for the bulk. I have some Silva compasses that are European Nato compasses- they work very well but are plastic and fractionally smaller than the brass one in my main glove. You are welcome to one. I'll pm you those pics and I may be able to set you up here.        Grant

Uh-oh!!! Wheels on the TradGang!!! Well, I guess we'll let this one pass since it's Mr. Bear.

Joey, Shoot a tab...they're easier to make and put a compass with a string around your neck.  You'll never be able to see it with that Martha Stewart wreath anyway  :)   Doc

Here's a hint ...This pic appeared in a Bear Archery slick.

i have always been fasinated by Mr. Bear. I wore my Boy Scout uniform the day my hometown gave him and AMF/ Bear Archery a parade trying to attract that industry to our small dusty MS delta town. Those Fl. crackers won out!`
