Third year hunting Trad.Have killed a lot of deer with compound bow. These are my first with Trad equipment .  Killed a doe and a spike buck  this season with Widow Recurve .  Flinthead

I was really blessed this year.  Filling all my tags, but one non-res IL anterless tag.  I killed one muzzleloader doe with my daughter in the blind with me, one archery buck, one antlerless archery and then an antlerless late season (actually in Jan) with a shotgun.  In that last late season I got to see a group of five bucks with the largest a huge 10!  He was awesome.  I crawled across a field within 75 yards of them before running out of cover and find no does at all with them.

3 doe and a nice 8pt in 08'. So far I'm at 17 deer with trad gear since 02'. I have a few deer sprinkled in there with other equipment before I picked up a stick.

24" wide muley w/longbow in SD.  Jumped out of bed at the end of a long looping stalk and let the arrow go when he stopped to see what made the noise.  Best muley so far.  Gotta love that spot and stalk hunting.  Only antlered tag I had on the lower 48 this past year.  Hoping for better this year.

I killed 5 this past season.  I had a great year....but many good deer hunter had a tough time.  It was just one of those years.

Poor year for deer with me.I killed two. I had a below ave***e year on pigs with 9 last year.Well over a hundred deer with a tradbow and probably twice that many pigs.RC

Thanks guys for your responses RC I read alot of your stories this year and ave***e for you would be a great accomplishment for me     This past couple of year i've hunted on new land and this season was the first to hunt hard with my bow and seen maybe 10 deer all season. It is really thick down here on the Gulf coast and most area I hunted in provided only 15 to 25 yard shot opportunities which is what we want but, no chance to see the game before it's in your shooting lane.

Congrats to all that had a good season. Eleven Whitetails here in Maryland and 3 animals in Texas  using 3 different trad bows. I spent a lot of time in the woods this season. Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.

Why is ave***e a banned word?     :confused:

My first year hunting with a longbow, I killed a buck on Nov 17th at 3:17pm at 10 yards, something I'll NEVER forget! I also missed a few this year as well!
