Because money is short now after buying my to new toys I was wondering if I can find an arrow that I can shoot out of both and just change tip weights. Both are Black Widow first is a 56#@28 MA II the other PL II 58#@28 I draw around 27 1/2" so drop about a pound of each. If I can get them both to shoot the same length but with diffrent weight heads I would like too for now. I'm thinking easton 2020's around 29" would work, and use 125gr head for the MA II and use 150gr-175gr for the PL II. I used Kelly's Chart to come up with this. And yes I know with out bare shaft tuning I won't know for sure, but this seems like a good strating point. Arrow weight should be 558gr 9.8%foc for the MA II and 583gr-608gr 11.4%-12.8%foc for the PLII

Being that the lognbow is 2 lbs heavier you should be close on the same arrow/point with both. 2020 should be about right at 29". if you were going shorter maybe 2018

Arrow Dynamics. I shoot the same arrow out of all of my bows. And lets just say, I have more than 5 or 6.

I thought about getting some .400 carbons and loading the fronts up as needed too, to get the rigt spines for each bow. Is the weight you do with the AD's?

In your case, this shouldn't even remotely be a problem. Tune your arrows to the lighter bow, and then tune your heavier bow to the same arrow. If you're only talking 2# difference in draw weight, a second set of silencers on the heavier bow may do the trick.

I'm just wondering even tho the recurve is a couple pounds less that it is cut more past center and that it will have more power then the longbow and need a stiffer arrow.

I agree with the Arrow Dynamics, I shoot the same 29" shafts with points from 200-350gr. from longbows and recurves ranging from 45# to 60#.

As Jason mentioned, a little adjustment with nock point and brace height should get your bows shooting the same sticks  

Jason and Fatman are on the money here. My bows range from 40# - 53# and I tuned to the lower poundage bow and adjusted the others as I went up. I also went a few grains heavier up front as I went up in bow weight.

I use the same arrow for most of my bows within 5# just changing the point but using a stiffer arrow with inserts, adaptersnts, points you have endless solutions

I probably have 20 or more bows around here at any given time.I can shoot a 29" 500 or 600 spine out of all of them with a little change in point weight.With a longer arrow a 400 will shoot out of all of them as well.Once you learn to tune a bow to an arrow things get so simple.  

Yep, I shoot the same arrow from all my recurves from #50-#55...

The Arrow Dynamic's would be a great choice.  I have had nothing but great reviews on how they can be shot from various bow wts.  If you like a higher FOC you can add a 100 grn brass insert.

You worry to dang much!!!!! Just put the same points on all the arrows AND JUST SHOOT THEM!!!!!

AMEN Woodchucker. I shoot all my arrows wood' alum, from 4 or 5 bows and they all shoot just fine. I have never weighed an arrow or matched the spine. They are all the same length and have 125gr tips. I shoot 2-3 inch groups at 20 yds. Just go out and have fun.
