I will be ordering my Guillie suit today ( Rancho Safari Longcoat with booney hood, and face mask), and was wondering if there are tips or tricks you do to shoot with the hood and the facemask on  :confused:  There seems to be alot hanging down wheren it might be a little distracting, and how do you reach your anchor with the facemask on?

I use a Spand-o-Flage mask. Don't be afraid to trim the hood and bow arm. I also use a full lenght ( wrist to arm pit )arm guard. Guillies are a ball!!!

I don't use the face mask that came with the suit. I either paint my face or use a more tight fitting face mask like doowop mentioned.

I have the same Rancho Safari suit, and love it!  I trimmed the strips that hung down in my face a wee bit, from the hat brim.  I just trimmed a little, shot, trimmed more.  Did the same on the bow arm, and left chest, just in case! Probably could trim a few more off the bow arm.

ND, ya musta been quite the sniper, using your bow!!!!!!!

Be sure to taylor your suit to they way you hunt and shoot. Elastic inserts work good on baggy arms
I use face paint and hood,but I trimed my hood so it wouldnt interfeer (spl?) with my string at draw another thinhg to think about is the chest area if you shoot a long (65"+) bow especially from a sitting position.......thats all ive run into with mine...

The long suit is the way to go. I roll mine up with everything inside and secure it with small bungee straps. Put it on when you get to your stand site. Watch the wind and don't fall asleep.

I shoot with mine just fine.

WE have one of the Cabelas outfits and the pants are a pain in the @#$%.  Find I never use them.

I'm going with a Long coat style that will rollup and go on or in my pack.  Want too use it running and gunning for elk this year in Idaho.

They are easy to shoot with if you practice and modify the suit for clearance.

I just got mine out last weekend and did some shooting to get it fine tuned for Turkey season. Like mentioned above trim the hangey downs off the front of the hat brim and inside of the bow arm. I shoot with a bit of an open stance and don't have any problems shooting with the Gillie on. can't wait to go chase some Turkeys.
   I have the long shaggie coat and mine has two straps built into it for rolling it up and a couple of "D" rings and a carry stap.
  The Rancho Safari have alot of thought put into them and are the most user friendly I have seen.

I bought the ghillie light from cabelas. Its like coveralls. I`m thinking of going below the waist maybe to the kness and cutting it off.Haven`t tried it yet but I did hang it in the edge of the yard to air out and couln`t believe how well it blends.RC

I also use an armgaurd that goes from wrist to armpit. And I trimmed the bow arm, makes it easier to get the armguard on.

Don't have a problem with the face mask at all. It is adjustable, fits well and is comfortable.

Biggest problem is the hood. I've been thinking about cutting the hood from the suit and attaching it to the facemask somehow.

I have the light weight two piece leafy suit from Cabela's. The pants can be a pain depending on your footwear. I would recommend the Rancho Safari longcoat but I would get the lighterweight bowhunter version if still available. It is just too hot in Texas for the heavier version. As for the negative comments from the sniper, if you trim the suit properly shooting with traditional archery equipment should not be a problem. If you do not practice and trim as needed shame on you.
