You Shrew guys aren't the only ones having to wait a year!

I missed out on the Sunset Hill in the classifieds the other day, so I said what the heck and picked up the phone. Talked to Nate last night for about 2 hrs - what a GREAT guy and he really knows his stuff! Ordered a pair of 66" ers, one Myrtle riser, and one of his new "The Classic" designs with Myrtle and Bamboo riser. Dropped the deposit in the mail today so now the agonizing year wait begins! I don't know how you Shrew guys do it, but I guess i'm gonna find out. I'm already pulling what little hair I have left out, and it's only been one day!  :banghead:

Ken, best of luck with the waiting and patience.  They will be sweet bows.  I talked with Nate last week about new bows.  I am slowly working my weight up to get to where I want for elk.  I will probably be like you while waiting, since I live three minutes from him.    :knothead:

it gets easier as time goes on then you will almost forget about it, thats almost, then you will get a call that its almost done and will be shipped on a given date and then the next few days or weeks will be the LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGEEEESSSSTTTT of your life.

I could be wrong, but I believe I looked for a site and could not locate it.

Ken, I waited 11 months on my blacktail. I have plenty of hair but at the end of that agonizing period of time I looked like a President after four years. The hair I have had started turning gray.  It's brutal but it will be here before you know it. I'm not sure I'll ever do it again though. I'm a Tradgang Classifieds man now.

Nate does not have a website guys, but if you want his contact info just shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to pass it along. This will be the first bows that I have had to wait that long for, but I guess that's another new experience I can chalk up to Trad archery! Thanks for the encouragement guys!

It's been 17 months and counting for my Brackenbury. I check the waiting list a few times every day to see if I moved up a slot.

After almost 20yrs I ordered the bow I always wanted. It took getting my daughters raised and moved out to justify the price of a custom bow. Of course, had I ordered it way back then I would have saved several hundred dollars.

I bought a used Quest to help ease the pain. Didn't cure the anxiety but it sure helped.

I got lucky, I picked up a slightly use Yellow Jacket, (2nd owner) they are great bows.  After I got the bow, Mr. Steen e-mailed me a couple of times to check up and make sure I wasn't having any problems with the bow.  Now that is follow-up.  Bill

I waited 13 months for my "first" Blacktail. I liked it so much, I ordered a "second" Blacktail last September. It should be here sometime during Sept/Oct.

How boring! Since the first of the year I've gotten 3 bows, have another one due this week, and one due in May. I just can't plan or wait that long!

It's ok Mike, i've got seven other Hill style bows to play with till they get here   :bigsmyl:  Hardly ever see one of Nates bows in the classifieds, so I guess if ya want something special sometimes ya just gotta wait for it!

I was just joshin'. I had to wait almost a year for one bow and it drove me crazy! Luckily, I've found bows I like that are 6-8 months to wait for.

I ordered a Blacktail recurve in early January '08. I somehow managed to put it out of mind for about a year. But now that it's been 13 months I am eagerly looking forward to receiving my new bow. Even so, I have every confidence that it will be worth the wait - just the same as the bow you ordered.

Ken, I'm on Nate's list also, but it had been out of my mind..until I see this! Only 8 months to go...
