Garrett wanted a bow like his dads for his birthday and hes a really great son and has done very well in school so I figured why not reward him with a bow that he can pass down some day.  I called Mike and he told me he had a soft spot for kids and he would put a rush on it and build him a beautiful youth bow.  Wingnut built a 52 inch NTN 31lbs @ 26inches East Indian Rosewood riser with maple accent stripe and beautiful black glass limbs.  My hats off to you Mike and Jason the bow is just absolutely a beauty and a sweet shooter as well.  This bow is a fast little dude.  He is shooting POC 24inces and 100 grains up front. The arrows are spined @ 25 to 30 lbs and they fly like darts.  As promised Mike here are some pics.  I am not the best picture taker so bear with me.

This is a movie from my digital camera we have only had time for a couple shots and these arrows fly like lasers.  He is shooting @ seven yards the bow is to much for him right now but if he anchors correctly its perfect for him.  he is curently drawing 20-21 inches and hes pulling 20-22lbs.  We will work on his form and get him some beaver balls and serve him an adjustable nock point.

That's cool!!  Glad he got it on time and that he likes it.  Now just work on hitting the target so he doesn't tear up the arrows.

Sounds like it spits those poc's pretty good.

Thanks everyone.  We were able to get some shooting in and he is doing alot better. He still has the occasional Uhoh! from not haviing a tight enough grip but he is learning rather quickly.

Heck I'd be proud of that group.

I talked to Mike today about these bows and I think they are a big plus for our youth. Two of my grandson's own them and I have another grandson who will be ready for one pretty soon. They are great looking, and great shooting bows. The kids can truly have a bow "like daddy's" not only in looks but in the way it shoots. In today's climate our youth need more things like this. We need to help point our children and grandchildren toward this great sport.
Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.

Thats ok with me. Brek just as you would I will get more enjoyment out of it.  Watching him grow and learn from his old man.  Just think you get to take Jack turkey hunting in a few more weeks.
