Greetings all!  I currently have a Liberty contender longbow, 62" 55@28.  I am looking at buying a Mahaska recurve 58" 55@28.  I want it mainly for blinds/treestands, but was wondering about the speed difference, generally speaking between the two bows.  Any ideas?

The recurve will likely be a few fps faster.  Shorter bows are more maneuverable in blinds, but I've never found short bows necessary for tree stands where I usually use a 64-inch bow.

Im just trying to keep from trimming too mayny pine tree branches.  laziness I guess.

Myne results
longbow- 50# 28" (my draw is 29" and i recive 51.5" from longbow ) 520+- grain wood arrow - ~165fps
recurve- 50# 28" (my draw is 29" and i recive 53" from recurve ) 540+- grain wood arrow - ~195fps

There is a diference in acuracy too... i think that longbow forgives more shooter mistakes.
Will you eat that? If not, why did you kill it?
