Ok, so this was bound to happen sooner or later i honestly thought my girl friend was gonna be the one to do it but what ever :S in a nut shell i tweaked my hand when i released and my arrow went through my window and penetrated the deadbolt on my laundry room door. (we don't use this door and there is only a laundry room behind it so no one was in any danger!!!)


 


UPDATE:
i just too a closer look at the insert that came out of the arrow and the tip is bent and the insert broke in half

its just the door and lens flare haha

I wonder if my bow would have penetrated that lock as well.  Could you shoot the lock with some bows in the 42# range and post pics.

The windage was basically okay Jake,

but the elevation showed some overcompensation -

kind of like that longer than usual 3D target I

launched an arrow at during last weekend's shoot....

An interesting attempt at remote lock picking, but I think you're supposed to hit the tumbler assembly dead on and pop it out the other side...  

I'd say bad penetration....

Bump up the FOC and try again.      

Try to sell your pics. to the deadbolt manuf. might get back some of your money.Man you will never live that down.Kip

Should have used a single bevel.
 

arrow must have been a little to stiff,try more weight up front,should move impact to the right some.

Glad no one was coming through the door.. Consider you  blessings and get a safer back stop..
