Forgive me if something similar has already been posted and I missed it; been traveling too much lately. Anyhow, just back from Kzoo and I bought a half-dozen pack of 75grn. Woody Weights while there. Just glued on onto a 575grn cedar with 160gr target point, bumping it up to 650grns, Ashby's recommended minimum for a bone-busting setup for all big game. Without doing the math, in simple terms, the WW added 1/2" length to the arrow and measured from the nock forward, moved the FoC exactly 1.5" forward. That's a bunch. Coincidentally or not, that arrow penetrates exactly 1.5" deeper in a foam target than an otherwise identical arrow without the WW. On a counter it rolls smoothly and the shooting characteristics are unchanged with or without, both for bow and shaft; no notable change in flight or flex. In fact at 18 yards I got identical placement, almost a Robin Hood. I am convinced and now will put the other 5 WW's on shafts for practice. What remains to be seen is whether they increase or decrease the tendency for cedars to break just behind the head. When STOS and others come out with their 200+grain 2-blade "Ashby style" glue-on heads this year, perhaps the WWs won't be needed. In any event they care cool and really whack that foam. Dave

I just ordered some 75gr from their website after reading your post.  I've got a pack of 125 Woodmans that I wanted to use but I like the greater weight up front. I'm shooting white ash and my combined wgt will be about 700, more than I really wanted but if performance increases I'll give it a shot.

Looks like I'll have to give them a try.

I have used them and like them also.  If you jump up in spine you can really pack some weight up front too.
