I think Mikes (mad dog) would be hard to beat...

Tim Meigs  has been a well known bowyer around these parts for 50 years or more.  At an archery meet, I was surprised to find some beautifully made kids bows that he had made.  I bought one for my granddaughter.  I consider it to be a real piece of history, although I'm sure he wouldn't like to be thought of as history just yet.  I don't know if he made just a few and stopped, or if he does it on a regular basis, but you could call and ask.

I believe Black Rhino is one that will refund the price of the bow if upgrading in the future as you daughter grows.
Might want to check with other vendors to see if they do the same.
Could be worth big bucks down the road.

You are correct.  Black Rhino will allow you to "upgrade" one of their bows.  Cant remember how much but it is definitely nice for them to do so.

Another vote for Black Rhino.....great bows.....great people to work with....great service . You would be more than satisfied with a Black Rhino

Thanks for the help guys, I got a hold of Mike at Maddog, pretty nice guy.  Sent my order in mostly cause I was looking at the woods and PJ wanted the "purple one".  Mike said that Purple Heart wood should not be a problem.  He also said he is running 14-16 weeks out.  I just found out that our first shoot is a month earlier than I thought... hope its not cutting it too close!  I will post pics and review it when it shows!
