Does the glass on the belly go under the riser or extend under the riser?

heres a rough sketch of what I'm asking:

which is correct? will either work?
Catch and Release Wild Trout

wingnut

Both are correct.  Two different designs.

are there any advantages to the top design? Cause its a bunch harder but if it has the right advantages I might try to go that route
Catch and Release Wild Trout

The top design supports the fadeout with the bottom glass. You'll need to feather it out more than the diagram.

The bottom design will require a power lam between the laminations longer than the handle to keep the bow from bending through the handle.

Clear as mud eh?
