Anyone have any experience with one of these? 24" riser and short working limbs, 66" max length. I was wondering how it compares to a 21st Century? Appreciate any imput. Thanks.

I have a Sarrels Superstition longbow.  It is very quiet, smooth and forgiving.  I don't think the Sierra would be any different.  Bob did tell me that the Sierra is a few ft. faster.

I have 6 longbows, all cost several hundred dollars more than the Sarrels, but I shoot the Sarrels 90% of the time.

Bob makes as sweet a shooter as there is out there...PR

I have 5 Sarrels longbows and 2 Sarrels recurves.  Two of the longbows are Sierras (one Teton, one Blackhills, and one Superstition).  They are great shooting bows.  Very smooth drawing and quiet.   The Sierra was the bow Bob made originally, before adding other models to his line.  He made the Sierra exclusively for a number of years and now has several other models to choose from as well.
I would recommend Sarrels bows to anyone.  I think it is as good a bow as is on the market and you can't beat his prices for a custom bow.

I, like Steve. have several Sarrels bows. Two of mine are Sierras (one 62" and one 66"). These are great shooters and I hve fared well with these bows both at competitions and in the woods. I too would recommend Sarrels bows to anyone. As Steve stated above you can't get a better bow anh prices are very competitive.

Anyone have a pic?  Tried to google one but didn't find.    This sounds a lot like an old Root longbow I have... 25" riser, 66", a bit of reflex to the short working limbs.   I'm planning to try to duplicate this bow.  Didn't know anyone was doing something that sounds like it.
