I fall in the 50-55lb range. I can shoot all day in this range. I do have a 60lb longbow I love, but can only shoot good for a short while.

I shoot everything with the same bow - 70# recurve.  I have been shooting the same bow for 18 yrs.  Before that I shot a 65# recurve for 17 yrs.

Widowbender

I have bows ranging from about 50 to 62 lbs. Most of my hunting is with the 62 pounder.

I don't hunt anything except deer, so I could not answer your question. I suggest that you divide up your poll.

Most of the bow orders I get are between 45 and 55#.  I occasionaly get an order for one in the 60s but not often.  Bob

Well, I just got a 55# Timberhawk that feels like a toy, but before that all my bows were right at 63# at 29". You wouldn't think almost 10# would feel that different, but it sure does!  Arrows seem just as fast too.

I don't hunt elk though unfortunately.  I had to guess 50-60 on that.
