Is it overkill?

I measured it to be about 6.5 inches from the end of the riser.

I think I may be in trouble.  Just got some GT 55/75 and they may be too stiff, but I also have 100 grain inserts I'm going to be adding.

Set up is 50 # Bear

I would say sell the 55-75 and get some 35-55 you will tune much easier with these. Drew

What Drew said.  The 5575s are gonna be hard to tune

even left at full length with a total of 245 grains up front?

drewsbow

I think you will need more than that and still not be happy with them.

Let's back up some.  What is your draw length?  Are you saying you have 6.5" of arrow out front?

Which 55/75's do you have? Black or Trad?  Maybe we can work something out.

Unless I measured it wrong, my draw is 27.5  I placed an arrow on, drew to full draw, and had my wife mark where the arrow where it met the front of the riser.

The 55/75's I have are the Traditional style...faux wood grain.

You can always try them they might fine at 22% FOC or so. Remember the 32" 5575 and the 30" 3555 are very near the same spine out of the box. When their the same length the spine difference is evident of course. I'm shooting full length 400s GTs at about 20% FOC on a SAIII Widow that I shoot at 43#s. But that is a fast bow.

well, i was able to get into gander mountain's range the other day and shoot for a while....it's been a while.  unfortunately when i arrived, there was already two spot shooters there practing at 25 yards so i was forced to shoot at this range...it was ugly.  they finally left and i only had a few minutes so i slid up to 15 yards and started bareshaft shooting the 32 inch 55/75's (uncut) alongside my 2016's which, i believe are set up fine for this rig.  i didn't they did not group any different than the others, at least not that i could notice.
