Which glue or epoxy do you guys use for your broadheads and field tips????

Always used the yellow hot melt glue when doing up woodies. Never had a a failure---even after finding an arrow that had sat out in my woods for 6-7 months-the glue was still strong! Feathers needed replaced though!

I use the yellow hot melt also, I did have a problem losing tips at first, although it was my own fault. I did not wipe the tips out with alcohol!!!!!!

Thanks for the info, I've been using super glue contact cement and my tips just will not stay on.
Even letting them sit for the recomended 24 hours, they are still pulling off in my target.
I'll try the hot melt.

High strength hot melt for woodies. Be careful not to scorch the wood. Heat the point to where the glue will just be a touch runny and no more. Set the head and spin check for striaghtness.
 For gluing inserts or adapters onto broadheads and points use JB Weld original. Set and spin test. Let cure over night.
 Be sure and clean the inside of the points well with acetone,lacquer thiner,MEK or denatured alcohol. This removes the protective coating applied to the points.

Think clean clean clean when working with adhesives for good bonds.

I cleaned the insides of the tips with alcohol then give them a little scouring inside with a little grinding stone bit on my dremmel to rough them up.  After i taper the shaft i score it a little bit with the edge of a flat needle file before applying the yellow hotmelt.  They don't come off and i shoot into heavy rubber block targets which really do cling to them.

I use Ferr-L-Tite.  Clean the tip with alchol first and heat the tip so that it will melt the glue that is on the shaft.  Put the tip on and then drop the tip into a glass of water to cool it.  I have never had a tip come off.

Thanks guys I picked up some hot melt and denatured alchohol this evening, Hopefully I won't mess it up and my heads will stay on.
