What's going on here???  :confused:   Posting two inches of the bow at a time?  At this rate I guess I'll have to wait until we get to Texas to see the whole thing!  :rolleyes:

Certain things in life are funny when shown over a period of time but this is not one of them

Nice birthday present. A one of a kind Griffin is a heck of self gift!

   

This bow started at Denton Hill last summer.  I have always liked short longbows and Griffins in particularly. John had a 56" Griffin in my weight that I loved.  So it ended up in my Tipi or was it Whip's Tipi    

Anyway we got to talking about doing up a 56" bow bolt Griffin.  My traveling/airline T/D Griffins are 60 inches and really too long to safely pack in a duffel.  John had been thinking of making a few of these up.  Then we started joking around about a name for this size bow.  I wanted it all black...micarta riser & tips & black glass with bamboo cores.  So I said the Gnats on my bear stand were black, small, merciless and packed a Big Sting.  He wasn't quite sure if that was the name he wanted for this line of bows...but it was for me  

Well, it showed up...just by luck on my birthday as the Gnat

My goodness, that is the coolest little longbow I've ever seen.....a turkey, hog, Javi, deer killin' machine!!

Man that is cool.  I've been wanting an all black bow for sometime.  An over a year wait would kill me but, no time like the present.
