So, I'm new to trad, all excited about getting started, bought a bow to hunt with off one of those *-list sites, and THEN read a portion of a thread here about wear in string grooves on 'curves, which made me worry that these were not normal.    :scared:   There is a finish in them which I think looks original, but I need a little reassurance! What do the Bear experts think?

Thanks for your time, Roger

Knuklhed,
I didn't see the thread that you are refering to, but those are normal string grooves. dino

Maybe they were talking about a FF type string wear the grooves,I would only use a dacron string on my older recurves and this one.

Thank you all for putting my mind at ease. The few only others I had seen in shops around here were only into the glass, maybe because of lighter poundage? dino, I can't quite remember where or when I saw it, I've been spending my lunch hours at work reading all the forums I can for the past coupla months and I can't get enough! (It may very well have been the huge O.L.'s string post)
