I was cleaning my bocote lams and got the wrong can of cleaner ,i used mineral spirits instead of acetone,,but i cleaned and cleaned with acetone afterwards,you think the smoot on will still adheare to the glass and the bocote,,,thanks ,,,,,stupid is stupid does,,,

No, you didn't screw up.  Would work with mineral spirits as well.  Either helps remove the surface oilyness in the wood.
