Anyone ever heard of this bow or bow company before? They were located In Sartel, Minnesota back In 1996 but not sure If they are around anymore. The recurve I shoot now Is a custom made take down recurve made by this company and I've got Issues with the top limb.

I have one. It's called the Osprey. 62", 55# @ 31". Handle is Black walnut. They have been out of business for years. I bought mine around '93 or '94. Maybe a bit later. No idea what happened to them.

Schultzy

Wow, finally I find someone else who has one. Mine Is also 62" but I ordered It for 65lbs at 28". After It was done and said and all painted and camoed up my draw weight was 73lbs at 28". It's been a great recurve up till the last year or so. I've hunted with this bow for 13 years straight and this summer I checked the draw weight on It being my shooting really went to heck when I started practicing up In June for my bear hunt In September. I put It on the scale and I lost 12lbs In draw weight from the year before, I couldn't believe It. Mid way through hunting this year a bunch of tiny 2 to 3" slivers 1/8" wide and 1/16" deep started coming off of the side of my top limb. Luckily It made It through the season and I was able to get a young doe with It the last day of season. Is yours heavy also? Mine weighs more then any recurve I've ever held.

Where did you get yours at?

Hot Hap

I think I've got one of those down in my basement somewhere. If I remember right it has a ash handle and fiberglall limbs. Hap

I did a Windwalker Kit bow in 96 I believe.

It was ash riser and brown glass limbs.  Shot pretty good and killed a deer with it.  That kit bow helped me learn that I will NEVER be a professional bowyer.

I have it under the bed somewhere.

Brett, that's the same year I got mine. My limbs were also brown If I remember right. I thought though that the limbs could be shaved If the pounds were to much. A person can't do that with glass though can he?

The ash riser would also explain why my bow Is so heavy.

I've got a Yukon Hunter LB that shoots nice. I finished the kit quite a while back and it's been a great bow. Very quiet, though not particularly fast. It looks pretty at full draw. Ash/walnut riser, actionwood limbs with brown glass laminate and tip overlays.

No idea what happened to them though.

I ordered mine thru WindWalker bows. I believe they were brothers. They ran an ad in TBM for years. My bottom limb broke while shooting after 2 yrs. They were still in business then, and replaced them with no hassles. That was my last contact with Wind Walker bows.

SpikeMaster

I got one of the kits. The top limb broke about a year after getting it. I never did get it fixed.

Schultzy

Thanks for all the replys everyone!!

AkDan

I remeber looking at building one from a kit but never did..hmmm lol

Anyways here's an idea.  Why not buy the bingham td recurve goodies and build your own replacement limbs?  who knows might be a start to a new fun job lol.
