I just got some in the mail the other day, but have yet to try them.  Anyone have any experience with these new heads????

They look like a great design, and you can get them through 3 Rivers.

Just ordered a half dozen today. Let us know what you think. They look like they will make awesome small game heads.

I took a look at them and the first thing I thought is they looked like a slightly tweaked immitation of an Ace Hex Head at nearly twice the price.

My first impression also Jason. I didn't look at price but thought the design was VERY similar. It should be a good one then, I like my Hex heads.

I've got a 3-pack of the 145gr. heads, haven't got a chance to shoot them yet.  They look pretty nasty!

i got a 1/2 doz of them in 125gn. Work great. Different than the hex head. pack a punch. hammered a rabbit last weekend. shot them into tall grass and didn't loose a single arrow. don't stop as quick as a judo but stop fast enough.

I have not tried them but from what I remember the builder is a tradgang member also.

I don't know where you checked but at 3 rivers the hammers are about half the price of the Ace Hex blunts. But they do look very similsr in the pic.

I was looking at them this morning and thinking about ordering some but I like the bunny busters for small game and they work good too.

Check the quantities in their pricing. I thought the same thing you did, until I clicked on the little "Full Product Info" link, and then read the very last line to catch it: "Sold in 3 packs."

"Hammers" are priced $6.99 for 3, which amounts to $2.33 each. Screw-in Hex Heads are $8.95 for 6 pretty much anywhere. That's roughly $1.49 each.

Just saw it in the catalog.  I had the same first impression, definetely worth a try.

Looks like it only comes in screw in only as well.  Which means if you're a woodie guy, you have to also factor in the cost of the adapters.  The Ace Hex Blunt comes in either screw in or glue on and the same price for both.  Just some things to consider.

if someone would like to really test these they should send Shawn Lenoard a dozen to be used at his bunny hunt as they will definitly get tested on live game. just a thought and you would definitly get feed back.

I have not shot either one, but for the price, it looks as though the hex heads are close enough in design they would probably work just as good.

I have not used eather but from the pics it looks like the hammerhead is shorter and wider which in my little mind tells me it will stop faster in grass and weeds and hit just a bit harder.

The ace has been around for a while and im sure has worked just fine for who ever has used it, I think they are both good heads, I think i will try the hammerhead
