Hi everyone I am new here and just getting started into traditonal archery after years of hunting with moderon day equipment.I purchased a martin X200 recurve in a #40 pound model.I am shooting 1816 xx75 with a 100gr head and am going to shoot my first tournement saturday without alot of practice so wish me luck.LOL

Welcome!  This is a great place to hang out.  I have not shot the Martin X200 but have read good things about it.  Have fun at your tournament, and make sure you try stump shooting!

Hi

I only started a couple months ago with an X200 as well.  Mines 35# but drawn to 30.5 - so around 40# also.  Nice bows!

If you have the green riser one you can put D97 and other low stretch strings on it - don't do this if you have a brown riser one.  I put an 8 strand D97 flemish on mine double served with Halo and it's made it an even nicer bow.
Shoes are a tax on walking...
