What do you think makes the best and quietest rest material, or does it really matter? I'll be outfitting a new bow and just thought I'd ask for opinions. I've used calf hair and the old standby Bear felt and leather set as well but thought I'd look for something else this time.
Thanks,

I use the stick on industrial strength velcro sold at Walmart. It's just over $3 for 3 pieces. It seems as quiet as anything to me and wears a long time.

I second the Industrial Strength velcro. I make my template out of heavy paper, cut it to fit the bow the way I want it to and tranfer it to the back of the velcro. Cut it out and stick it on. The stuff holds up great and it stays where you stick it. Just make sure you clean the shelf with a little alcohol before you stick it down. You can make a couple dozen rests out of one little packet.

the velcro "hooks" are faster, but the "loops" are quieter!

Velcro is good and cheap, I get mine at Home Depot. It comes white, red, blue, gray, and black. The old Bear rugs were good also.

I prefer seal skin, just my preference.

I was pleasantly surprised with beavertail. Tough and quiet in all weather conditions!

Velcro sounded loud on the draw.  Very durable though.  Sealskin seemed quiet.  Now I'm using part of the leather side plate for a rest.

Sealskin here too. I had mine on for over 3 years, shoot a lot, no wear..

Had on many bows over the past 15 years. Love it. Use the Barge Cement the way Ed says though!  :)  Trust me!  :)
