got a martin hunter recurve from a great seller here on tradgang, and the he said he thought the bow was made around 2000-2001 or so.  there is a signature of a dick palmer on the upper limb.  is/was he a builder for martin?  or was this refinished by someone named dick palmer?  i love the bow, its 62", 60 lbs at 28" and is brown action wood.  it is a 10 out of 10 condition wise, and i got it for 180$, so i am really happy.  just wondering if someone could tell me a bit more about it.  thanks.

Dick Palmer wrote a couple of books on traditional archery including "Shooting the Longbow", and "Bow and Arrow Adventures".
I believe 3 Rivers has them for sale.
Not sure if he worked for Martin Archery, but my guess would be it was a "Dick Palmer" model.

Dick Palmer has a archery shop in Fayeteville, Arkansas. From what he has told me in the past Damon Howatt/Martin builds him bows that he has his name on and sells thru his shop. Byron Ferguson used to build him some long bows as well with his name on them and i'm sure there were maybe some others thru the years because he has been in buisness for a very long time. Hope that helps. Scott
