There is an arrow straightener that fits in the palm of your hand like a pair of pliers and has three plastic grooves that the arrow lays in and when you squeeze the handles it bends the arrow to straighten it. Mine doen't have any markings, I have only seen them with red handles. I think they were made for alluminum arrows. I bought mine at a shoot/flea market. I don't know where you can find them but I have seen them in catalogs. I hope this helps. They work great for taking out those bends at the end of tha shaft.

Heat the affected area, put the crooked end of the arrow on a hard surface with the bow/high area on top.  Hold the other end of the arrow at about 45 degrees from the surface.  Push down and rub back and forth on the bend with the palm of your other hand to straighten the shaft.  Some hard pushing may be required.  Might also need to use something like the side of a screwdriver, rubbed back and forth over the high area,to compress the fibers a little.  Good luck.

You better check to see what glue was used to laminate before adding too much heat!     Pat

The tool Jack is talking about is an AD-500 Arrow Straightener.  It works, heat helps a lot.
