I just got this beautiful, hickory selfbow in the mail.  It was sent by someone who wanted me to have it.  It is beautifully made and a pleasure to hold and shoot.  I am certainly humbled by deeds such as this and really don't know how to adequately thank those who are such givers.  Thank you David  for this beautiful longbow.   I know there is magic in this weapon.

Nice  :thumbsup:   Is that a built in string keeper? It could double as a wind check.

It is a string keeper.  I have a piece of turkey feather to hand on to the string for a wind check.  It's simply a beautiful bow.    :archer:

Never ceases to amaze me how the folks here are. Kinda like Woodstock without the drugs.   :D

Fine bow there, George. What does it pull, and how long is it? I just got a belt buckle in the mail that is really cool. I can't show it off until I send something back, but Keith sure gave up a pretty trinket there.

It is easy to relax here, because chances are, you will be regarded kindly by the members who happen to stumble across your post.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Killdeer,  It is 68" between the nocks and 55#@28".  I draw it to 27".  It seems to really like 28", 50# spine cedars with 160 grain heads.  I'm going to give it a walk after lunch today...over and along the river and through the woods, then back to grandmother's house we will go.
:thumbsup:
