Razorback, To bad we aint closer together I would love to try this! there is a farm I hunt south of me and it is loaded with coyote's. If you shoot a deer there in the evening you better get it that night or it wont be there in the morning!! Good hunting,Jason

Coyotes have really increased in numbers in my area of Illinois.  When I first started bowhunting, We would often shoot a deer in the evening, and wait until morning to track it with no ill effects.  Seems like nearly evertime we do this now, the coyotes get to the deer before we do.

Coyotes are way down this year in Oregon. The jackrabbits are in at a low in their 7 yr. cycle. Might have something to do with it. I believe that is a main food source for them around here. My friend called and killed 132 of them last year. This year has been slim pickin's. He gave me a FoxPro caller to try out. You can put it out off to the side 20yds and that should help with those shy coyotes!
