Do you have pictures and do you like them?

Apex Predator

One of the better riser woods in my opinion.  Here are a couple.

I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

Here is my Bob Lee and Rob sent me the drop off from the riser and I made a few things with the extra bubinga the file handle is also complete.

Swamp Pygmy

I always thought Bubinga was underutilized and very pretty.

Blackhawk

Mr. Bear made most (if not all) of the Kodiaks from 1963-66 using this great wood, which is also called African Rosewood.  It can be very stunning.

Thanks for the pictures, It seems when I hear people ordering custom Bows I dont hear of Bubinga to much. They look nice.

Waterfall is really pretty, but the riser wood does nothing for me.

I use alot of bubinga in the bows i build.Take a look at my website and you can see a few on there. It goes nice with other woods also.

Bubinga is great choice because its very strong and has good bending strength with good density. Also you do not get charged extra for it by most bowyers as opposed to some other woods. Its an excellant riser wood for utilitarian or practical reasons. Some bowyers rank it very highly as a choice riser wood.Other woods may have more eye appeal but i have seen some pretty Bubinga over the years.

Her is one I made for a guy in Ireland. Bubinga and macassar ebony.
