That means I would actually have to get an arrow in a deer..... I hope your arrows are self guiding or loaded with deer attactrant. I'm in, I need all the help I can get ! !

Hey Killdeer.  Just carry the arrow around, and write up a story of the arrows journey in the first person.  The way you can write, is even better than a kill.  

And D. Sheppard.....these arrows have a way of finding their way to and animal.  Three taken this year by me with them...and I can not shoot worth a hoot....ask Keith361....lol

You can believe him if you want to, just don't make any bets against him

Diary of a Cane Arrow

Dear Diary,
Well, she slept in again today. She stayed up half the night reading...her lips move when she reads. Then she turned out the lantern and the heater. Thank God! I was roasting up here in the gear loft. Then she kept me up all night with her God-awful snoring. I heard the bears packing their trunks and leaving town, they were plenty scared.

She finally shuffled out of the tent, spent three hours "waking up", and getting ready to take a walk. As an afterthought, she stuffed me into this tube with some other feathered prisoners, and dragged us along with her. Have not seen the light of day nor felt a fresh breeze all week. Oh crud, either it's raining or she fell in the creek again.

Only you Killdeer....only you have that kind of imagination...not wait.....or is that the real truth?  LOL

Just to let everyone know, I will be starting s plaque of some sort for these returned arrows with pictures and story.  For now, or until I think differently it will be called the "Cane Arrow Hall of Fame"

Of course it's the truth - Killie wouldn't fabricate - embellish perhaps but never fabricate -     :D    

Charlie also gave me 3 Japenese Tonkin cane arrows he made (at the same time he gave Killie her two canes) and I love them. I definitely want in, Charlie. Of course I've only had one shot (last year) in the last three years but I'd be honored to carry one of your arrows and if I see a deer (or any other critter), it's in trouble 'cause I'm  way overdue!

I wonder if Woody would trade a arrow for a point.....mmmmmmmm.......I would make him a dozen to get some of those points...lol

I know for a FACT that Woody's a sucker for good cane arrows.    

I would love to try one on a coyote in the snow or maybe even a bobcat        please add my name to your list.thanks - Merry Christmas

Hmmm, Charlie, I hope you are going to compile your own "list" as these "gratuitous lists" don't add the entrants signed in between the last list, and their list - (like myself and a couple others I noted) - LOL

Charlie also gave me some canes (3 types) and I luckily picked up a couple more bundles at a Sissipaha shoot/raffle. They are all sitting in my "Dino Barn", and I must try to get some made up into arrows this winter, after deer season closes, also. Bows and knives have me corraled, lately.

I will be going over the list and checking it twice, just can not rule out the naughty or nice ones this time......whats a Santa to do...hehehehehe
