Sounds like Bear has ceased production of the Custom Kodiak Takedown A handles, B handles and limbs. Word is they are only going to make the Takedown Supreme. Sold a bunch of them over the last couple of years and kept one A handle and one B handle and a few sets of #1 and #3 limbs. Great shooting bows with alot of history. Sad to hear they are done.

Could I ask where you got the info.I would like to research that a bit more.Thank you bowdoc

3Rivers Website. Also they are not listed on Bear's website under Traditional bows anymore. As 3Rivers wrote, it's "un-BEAR-able news".

I just had an A riser replaced and dealt with the gainesville plant directly. They have stopped production, it took me 2 months to get my replacement. This is sad.

Not one to complain but I was amazed at the lack of customer service. I mean it was a $1000 bow, more expensive than any of their compounds and they really gave me the run around and did not care at all. I had to mention the Escalades COE's name and told the person I was calling him directly. Gee got my replacement 2 days later. I really hate being like that.

I love the bow, shoot it good and will never get rid of it. But I love dealing with custom bow makers. I own and have dealt with BW, Rick at Striker, Ron Pittsley and they have all been top notch.

I've shot Bear bows almost all my life and I would be the first to admit the last several years thier service has gone down hill bad...bowdoc

I to am sadden to hear about the poor service. I guess I will hang onto my 1997 "B" handle and limbs.
Wish I had the bucks to buy just the trad portion of Bear Archery. I imagine I could find people in our trad community to help run it. I grew up with Bear Archery and real sad to see it going "south".

I have shot Bear bows for over 50 years sad to hear about their poor customer service.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

maybe that's a cue for someone smaller to make them an offer on the forms and rights to those and start a business.

I bet its brisk enough for someone without all that overhead to build those things and make a handsome living off of it.

Could make some improvements to boot. RER already makes better limbs. They'd be a good one to take over.

Sad news indeed. I bet Fred Bear is turning over in his grave at this.
