Has anyone used insulated bucksuede from dayone etc. for temps in the 30's treestand hunting. Is it just as warm as wool as i like wool but hate the burrs that the pants pick up were i hunt. Sorry for the post in the clothing section did not realize i was in that section. Thanks 1 flyfish.

Hey there,

I don't have the bucksuede, but I really like the wool. I'd hate to give it up. But if you get the bucksuede with the insulation and it works ket me know.

I'm going to get unlined bucksuede (saddle cloth) to wear over my wool for next year. I love my wool and wooltimate, but so do burrs. They won't stick to saddle cloth. Nothing compares to wool for warmth though. I figure I'll have the best of both worlds with this combo.

Day One buckseude doesn't get "stiff" like Saddle cloth. The lined pants are warm but I would still layer. Matter of personal preference between wool and bucksuede but BS is burr resistant.
