Dang, I just mailed an order today. I have been waiting for these, and wish I could have gotten them on the order.
If it's in your way, move it.

Wannabe1

Got mine ordered. Hopefully they'll be here by next Friday for my last three days of hunting.   :bigsmyl:

How did they get down to 125g?  Shorter, smaller cutting dia?  What's the story...???

I just got mine in the mail 5 minutes ago, they measure the exact same width as my razorcaps but are 1/4" longer. The machine work is a lot better than the last woodsmans I bought, I think is gonna be a great broadhead! Anyone have the actual length of the original Woodsman? These measure 2 3/8" from the back of the head to the tip. The Razor Cap is 2 1/8"

Steve O

My originals are 2 3/4" from the tip to the back of the ferrule.  What do they measure accross the blades in the back?  Mine are .926" measuring blate tip tip blade tip.

Jason Kendall

These measure .932 right out of the pack untouched. So it looks like they just shortend them 3/8" to get the weight down.

elknut1

Mine originals are 2 1/2" back to front, the original point is still intact too!

Can they be bought without the adaptors or can the adaptors be pulled?

What would they weigh without the adaptors if this was the case.  I'm hoping they could be used with different adaptor weights and made heavier.

Either way I'm excited.

Hey guys, glad many of you are getting to enjoy the new 125gr screw-in Woodsman.

Oliverstacy - The inserts have epoxy holding them in, and would be very difficult to remove. Currently, 3Rivers is not looking at releasing a 100gr glue-on, as we do not believe the demand is there for that weight in a glue-on.

As for the weight reduction, the 125gr Woodsman is still the same width as a 150gr, but they are shorter by 3/8".

Hope this of some help, have a Merry Christmas!

3R,

Since you're currently not offering them as glue on option now...can I put a check in the "I wish you did column"?

Absolutely Oliverstacy! I'll pass the word along. 3Rivers is always looking for feedback and new product suggestions. Feel free to e-mail me directly with any questions, comments, or "I wish you did's."

So which ones are they 3/8" less? The 2 3/4" ones or 2 1/2" ones. Thanks! By the way, they're a great head!

The length measurements are as follows for the 125gr:

2 3/8" is overall length of the broadhead (not including insert)
2 5/16" is the cutting surface of each blade

Thanks...I have ordered several times from your company in the past and love the service and will continue to do so going forward.  Last year when I was shooting 125 grains up front on my carbon arrows I wished the WW were 125 grains but now have switched set-ups a touch and use a different weight.  I could easily get this weight with a 100 WW and my current adaptor system.

Always great to here it directly from the source...thanks.

Jonathan,

Glad to see you are expanding the line, but I think you went in the wrong direction from a weight standpoint.  A heavier Woodsman in glue on would have a big market.  Something in at least 145, but 160 would be tremendous.

I wonder what the 125 grain glue on would weigh with no vents. I'd like to see a heavier glue on also.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
