I have looked everywhere in 2 counties, no stores have wool yarn to make string silencers out of. I have used acrlic, with pretty good sucess, but traded for a bow with wool on and it works great. Any online sources. Thanks all, Sam Koger.

I get wool from Rite-Aid or Walgreens near the insoles and stuff.  They usually sell bulk, unspun wool for putting in shoes.  I have used it as silencer material and it is awesome....and pretty cheap.

i get mine from Jo Ann fabrics, and every sunday they have a 50% off coupon in the paper.

How does wool yarn compare to fur strips- (coyote is what I'm currently using)?

I find that fur-beaver, coyote or muskrat-work the same as wool yarn.
