I feel it is rare place to find such a group of great people as I have found in Tradgang.  In the cut throat "me First" world we live in today, I feel truly blessed to have this refuge.  Tradgang has been a place I could come to learn, share, and just spend time with friends.  Friends that share my interests and beliefs.  The love for nature, being in the woods and doing things the "hard"(I call it "fun") way.  Many or my fellow Trandgangers,  I am not sure who all, have blessed me with an amazing gift.  A Shrew Hawk to take along with me while I seek out my other refuge in the woods bowhunting.  I wish I had the words to tell you all how much this gift truly means to me.  But a simple "thank you" is all I have.

Definitely a great bunch of people here, and a fantastic looking hawk as well!!

I also have found this to be a great refuge and I have met some of the most genuine folks on here, I am truely thankful that I stumbled across this site and have had the honor to be surrounded by all of you. Cool Hawk, that will serve you well, for a long time and many adventures. Happy Thanksgiving All

ONLY IN THE WOODS AND FIELDS DO I FEEL ALIVE, LIKE A HUNTER FROM TIMES PAST, ALTHOUGH THE HISS OF MY ARROW GOES FORTH, I AM TAKEN BACK, IT IS MY ESCAPE...

I hear you,  Sometimes I just get on here and read.  Tradgang is about the best group of good people there is.  It would sure be cool to all be at one place one day.  So many here I'd like to meet in person, that's saying alot for me I'm not really a social type.

Katie,

Going to traditional style of shooting/hunting has been one of my best decisions I ever made.  The people on tradgang are so thoughtful and genuine.  The stay true to there beliefs and live by lifes simple rules.
After everything you have gone through recently, I think it is fitting that you received a "toma-HAWK".  The term hawk seems to stay with you.  For some reason I want to call you "little hawk" as your indian or spirit name.

I agree..Tradgang is the best. It's one of the very few websites I check every day. Most of the other sites are junk.

A different breed here

You deserved it Katie.  Wish I was in on it for ya but I wasn't.

Best of luck with the rest of the season.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

That's no tomahawk, that's a katiehawk.

There are not a lot of women in traditional archery, but our few hunting sisters add a great deal of richness of this site. Thank you for being a part of the gang.

I think the members here are top notch!  I do much more reading than posting and gain a wealth of information. Wen I do post, I get positive feedback from everyone. I check this site (the only sight) several times a day.      :archer:

You guys rock! I am not a social animal either, believe it or not. But TradGangers, for the most part, I can tolerate for a longer period of time than I can the rank and file of the milling masses. Sometimes fifteen minutes or more!

I had trouble seeing the hawk, so I played with it.

Congrats, Katie, you deserve it, and dang, Ron, that's a good looking hawk!!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
