Some months ago I received a message from a guy I know well if I was interested to join him on a (bow)hunt in California where he lives.
Of course, I replied I'm always interested to go for a hunt in the US because in the Netherlands you will never get a chance for a bow hunt (illegal). So he said the invitation stands. The question was how to organise the trip so that both of us have a week free time for this hunt. After some months of planning from both sides and getting my travel arrangements set it's going to happen. I arranged my trip such that the first week is business related, the second week is leisure and hunting with him and some other guys. (In this way I saved money in the travel costs) So you can imagine that I'm exited and on top of that I hope to get my new Blacktail VL Elite T/D bow in time to use it on the hunt.

Hi Killy,

I'm hoping to get the Blacktail the first week of December and have a go with it prior to the hunt.
We will go for a pig hunt, deer hunt and quail if time lets us.

I'll post pics if all goes well.

Bone,

I know I should hunt with one of my own bows but you know how it goes, someone "falls in love" with a bow I made for myself but I won't disturb a new, young love. So it's gone.
Also I still didn't make that bow for myself that "clicks" . Next year I will make me one and that one stays.

Snag,

I'll post pics when I have the bow and hopefully with a trophy. Any tips for me on the Blacktail?

I'm in Westborough (MA) the first week of December. Then on Saturday a colleague will take me to Maybrook in New York first and then I'll travel to Coxsackie where I hope to meet Brian Hatch (horatio 1226). The next stop is Albany from where I have my my flight on Sunday the next week to Los Angeles where my hunting buddy is picking me up to go to Bakersfield.
Then the fun starts!!

longarrow,

I really would like that also but my route is direct from Albany (NJ) to Los Angeles. Maybe next time when I'm over.
Reading all reactions that I had so far I could easlily stay a full year visiting all theses guys!
