I shipped some fletched arrows and the feathers got a little flattened. Some have spots flattened in the "wrong" direction. Is there any way to bring these back? Let 'em sit?? steam?? They are probably shootable but not looking great.
thanks for any help.

Steam works well. Just get a pot to a rolling boil and hold the feathers in the steam and rotate the shaft. They will creep back in shape in a minute or so.
Pick a spot.>>>>-------> Shoot straight.

Steam is the way to go. I like the "Forced" steam that a tea pot provides. I just feel funny holding my pinky finger out when I turn the arrows!

Thanks guys. That seemed like the thing to do but wanted to hear it before I started.

Steam, directed from a teapot works for me.

That did it.. Very cool to see the feathers just move back into place... I just didn't want to screw 'em up.
thanks again

I use steam to bring back feather on my arrows that got buried under grass.They look matted down if buried for a couple of days,works pretty good.
