I found the biggest rub I have ever came across anywhere in Indiana today! I'll be hunting this area for the next couple days.

I measured this one with a tape measure and the tree is 42" around in the center of the rubb! I can't wait to catch a glimpse of the buck who worked it over! That's a full size day pack beside it for reference!

So lets see some pictures of BIG rubs!

Here are a few we found yesterday while scouting for bear season. We only jumped one doe, but the sign was everywhere.

This tree was about 5" in diameter it is not huge but there were 3 rubs this size in a 4 yard circle with other smaller ones in between

Sorry for the large pictures before I will resize them from now on. I apologize to those I may have upset with dial up connections.

The biggest rub I've ever had in my area. Not big compared to what you guys have up but impressive anyway. It is now displayed in my home.

The lower part, just below the rubbing is 10 inches around to give you an idea of its size. And I watched the buck do this from about 10 yards away.

I would have had to turn 90 degrees to shoot while he rubbed. And I was on the ground in a clutch of trees. I would have had to manuever my bow around one or two of the trees. I watched him from the corner of my eye.

When he finally stopped rubbing and moved on I thought I would get a shot, when he turned, then turned broadside with several small trees in the way. Then turned again. In retrospect I've thought of a few things I should've/could've done differently.
