I'm not there yet...but I'd like to know if any of you have put external footings on carbonwood3000s.

Granted, I only used my eyeball, but I'm pretty sure my old 2413 is no good.

I know they aren't as good as internal footings, but I'm using GT internal weights...figure it's better than nothing, still want to bump FOC if they prove to have enough spine, and think they may work double duty as a draw-check.

Measure the o.d. of your shafts, then look in the How-To section for the chart that shows the dimensions of various aluminum arrows.

I've got the pdf that O.L. posted.  Found several "Shaft size for footings" thread but never ran across info for the 3000s.  I'd heard them mentioned here before so I figured might be popular enough to have had someone already try it.

I have a micrometer...but it's two hours away.  Don't know that eye-balling it with a ruler is going to do much help.

I guess I'll have to take one into the store with me.  One shop doesn't even carry aluminums, not sure the other leaves any in bare-shaft (no inserts) form.

Thanks

It'll be less of a stress just getting your verniers
They're a good tool to have around.
