Widoweater, you beat me to it.  Except they'd need to be sure and actually copy the video for storage and not just the link as the link may dissapear at some later date.

That stuff is some seriously useful how to!
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

wish i had found this out a long time ago.....thats too cool.  i cant wait to get some rabbits to try out

I'm assuming the rabbit was gutted first?
Hard to tell as it lQQks like there was no gut opening at the stomach area...

Up this way we use the same technique for dressing out mosquitos.  Tried it with black flies but there wasn't enough meat to bother.

I asked about how to skin rabbits on a thread once and you should have seen all the different ways there are! Some of them were pretty darn funny!

After a good hunt this morning ending with 4 rabbits on the tail gate of the pickup I gave it a try. First advice do it RIGHT AFTER the bunny is down. The most recent bunny went the easiest! A small game bag for the cleaned rabbits to carry with you as you hunt would be the ticket. The first try was more than a good laugh for my buddy! However by number 3 it went fast! That being said I must admit I will be going back to my knife... not that this is not an AWESOME way to clean a bunny... but I feel like I left a bit too much meat in the bone pile.

SPECIAL NOTE!!! When your bubby is done laughing his butt off at you the first time... Do what i did! On number 2 I pulled the bunny TOWARDS his smart a_ _ and the rabbit got its revenge!!! :-)

Good hunting!

Awesome!  I will definitely be trying that the next time I get a rabbit!  Who'd have thought it would be so easy!  Thanks for sharing it with us.

There is a section of the Trad Gang DVD that shows a slightly diffrent way to skin and clean rabbits. It is also very quick and easy to do. I tried it out and had no problems at all.

I use a pair of game scissors only when skinning rabbits. Pull up some skin along his back in the middle of the body, make a cut, then slip your fingers into the cut, and pull evenly in both directions, towards the head and tail. The skin comes right off.  Then cut the head, feet, tail off with the scissors. Then zip open the belly and gut.  You can do a limit of rabbits this way in 3-5 minutes easy.

i can't load the video either... how about a description?
tell me how close you got, not how far you shot

ttt  this should go to the archives if possible really cool  has anyone here tried this??

ishiwannabe

That is pretty cool. And with the skin and head intact like that....think of how you could mess with other hunters!!  :D

good old canadian know how. You see we are sooooo lazy we will find the easiest ways to do anything. Case in point the drinking hat...keeps your hands free holds two beers - c/w straw so you get drunk faster and cheaper and with your hands free you can keep fly fishing or cut your steak while you drink.

I love newfies there are just like yukoners. they are happy abliging ppl and fun loving hard working...they just talk funny...Tee hee

Pretty cool but it looks like meat that I keep is wasted using that method.  I'll stick with the knife, a slit her and a slit there and peel done is just the same amount of time with no waste at all.
