I did a search and did not find anything so I apologize if there is already a thread on this but I just have to hear the story about that monster mulie of Leonard's!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

rastaman

i was about to post the same...i can't wait to hear (read) the story Leonard!

That sure is a different looking mule deer than I am used to seeing. Coloring seems quite light for a mulie. Looks to be a great looking buck and a pile of good eating. Congrats to you!!

Whip

What an impressive deer!  That is just awe inspiring - congratulations Leonard!

Leonards buck YES_This is a old one,but so am I now.The year was 1971 in Colorado,There were a lot of big bucks, maybe not as perfect as this one.I thought, all you had to do was keep walking and keep shooting. It did work a few times but as times have changed so have I.LORD willing,I would like to get one bigger than this before I am done.I guess thats what keeps the desire alive in us bowhunters.Deer was shot at 40 yards off the top of a rim rock.bow was wing thunderbird, with zewicky broadhead,score-189 with ded.-187 5/8 almost perfect! Typical record then was 189
